Jönköping University Badge for Merit is given to a person whose achievements have been of great importance to Jönköping University.
The Badge for Merit can be given once a year. The badge can be given to an individual or to several people. The badge does not have to be bestowed every year. Recipients of the Badge for Merit receive a medal to be worn with formal dress and a pin to be worn with informal dress. The medal and pin are designed in accordance with rules stated in the appendix to the university's regulations.
The Jönköping University Foundation Governing Board decides upon the regulations for the award of the badge. These regulations can be changed by the Jönköping University Foundation Governing Board. The regulations for the Jönköping University Badge for Merit were decided upon by Jönköping University Foundation Governing Board on 29 August 2002.
Nominations of recipients of the Badge for Merit can be submitted by members of the university and must be sent to the President by 31 March 2011. Please include an explanation as to why the nominee should be bestowed the award in the nomination. Every person, who during the period for nominations, is an employee at Jönköping University has the right to submit nominations.
