JIBS research centre ranked high

The research centre CESIS has climbed to place 26 on the global ranking list “Top 10% Institutions and Economists in the Field of Innovation”.

The list is provided at the initiative of Research Papers in Economics (RePEc) and consists of 1680 institutions from around the world engaged in innovation research. This puts CESIS – an abbreviation of “Centre of Excellence for Science and Innovation Studies” – in the top 2 per cent of the world.

In the RePEc statistics on economic research in general, based on the IDEAS database with over 700,000 articles and 30,000 researchers, CESIS is in place 11 among 78 Swedish institutions. Resently, CESIS also achieved the overall assessment “Outstanding at the forefront of international research” by RePEc.

CESIS organizes and carries out studies of innovation systems and with a specific focus on Sweden. The centre is organized in collaboration between departments at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Jönköping International Business School, and funded by the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA). Around 20 researchers and 8 doctoral students work with CESIS.
