• symptoms and symptom alleviation
• complementary treatment methods

- the philosophy and core values of palliative care

• the grieving process
• existential, spiritual and cultural dimensions
• the difficult conversations (transition to palliative care included therein)

- care in the event of death
- acts and other legislation

Prerequisites

General entry requirements and completed courses in the nursing programme within semesters 1 and 2 or equivalent, furthermore, completed courses within semester 3 in the nursing programme or equivalent.
