Two-year Master Degree Project in Child Studies - Empirical study 15 Credits

This course train students to develop skills and abilities in the writing and defense of an independent research project. The course focuses on the formulation of a research problem relating to child studies and early interventions, choice and application of method and theory, and the implementation of an empirical study. The course results in the presentation of a Master’s thesis as well as in performing the role of discussant on another master’s thesis.

Prerequisites

The applicant must hold the minimum of a bachelor’s degree (i.e. the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits at an accredited university) within health and care sciences, behavioral science, social work, or educational sciences, including independent, theoretical based work, i.e. a thesis or the equivalent. Also 45 credits at advanced level within the subjects of bachelor’s degree including independent, theoretical based work, i.e. a thesis or the equivalent. Proof of English proficiency is required.
