Critical Issues in Sustainability 3: Urban and Rural Challenges 7,5 Credits

The course focuses on how social science theories and strategies can be applied to meet urban and rural sustainability challenges. Global sustainability goals and strategies are analysed from social science perspectives and applied in various settings to create social change and a sustainable development of urban and rural areas in society. The teaching is conducted in English.

Prerequisites

A bachelor’s degree (i.e., the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits at an accredited university) with at least 90 credits in educational sciences, social sciences, or related field, including independent, theoretical based work, i.e., a thesis or the equivalent. At least 15 credits in global studies or social science at advanced level. English proficiency is required.
