Data Analytics for the Web and Network 6 Credits

Course Contents

The web is the largest source of the data that can be collected, visualised, analysed and turned into useful insights. These insights provide competitive advantage and allow for improvement of the underlying technical solutions. This course brings the power of the web and networks analytics. The course starts with Google Analytics and data visualisation. The course continues with the basic methods of classification, machine learning, regression, clustering, sentiment analysis, text analysis, and social media mining. Collection of user data for personalisation and recommender systems is also addressed.

Prerequisites

Passed courses 180 credits in first cycle, at least 90 credits within the major subject in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with relevant courses in Computer Engineering), Informatics, Computer Science, Interaction Design (with relevant courses in web programming) or equivalent. Poof of English proficiency is required.
