Course Program

Theoretical studies

The course is designed to explore the very core of what drives Swedish culture and society.

A carefully tailored program of theoretical studies will guide you through subjects such as Swedish geography, history and the way of life in Sweden.

You will also look at the strong culture of innovation that has propelled Swedish companies to the forefront of technological development. During your stay, you will also visit a well-known Swedish company in the area.

Hands on experience

One of the best ways to learn about a country is through practical experiences. As well as its theoretical content, Discover Sweden offers a range of fun activities.

From Swedish cookery and food-tasting workshops, to a mini-language course, the practical sessions are designed to immerse you in all things Swedish.

Getting out and about

You’ll also get the chance to explore Sweden through various excursions. One of your first trips will be to the nearby city of Jönköping and its university.

Your group will also spend a day in Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city, enjoying the cityscape from the water on a special boat tour.

A bike ride around the historic island of Visingsö is also part of the program, including many opportunities to hike through local forests and swim in the lakes.
