Health and Safety

We hope that your stay in Jönköping will be a pleasant experience without any major problems or difficulties. However, if you do find yourself in a situation where you need help or particular guidance the information on the following pages may be relevant to you.

Student Health Care

Student Health Care is located on the University campus and available free of charge to students during their entire period of study. At Student Health Care you can meet a counsellor, nurse or student chaplain if you need someone to talk to.

Insurance

Before arriving in Sweden, you need to ensure that you have adequate health insurance coverage.

Police

Jönköping is a safe city. In case of crime, call 112. To contact the police for non-emergency matters you can call 114 14 or visit the nearest police station.

Have you been in an accident? Call 112!

If anybody suffers a serious accident or suddenly gets seriously ill, please call 112 to reach the emergency services. They will send an ambulance if necessary. The telephone number, 112, is the same throughout Sweden and the switchboard is manned 24 hours a day.
