Johan Calltorp suddenly deceased

Johan Calltorp, Professor of Health Policy and Management at Jönköping Academy / School of Health Sciences at Jönköping University, member of the School of Health Sciences board, as well as Programme Coordinator at Forum for Health Policy, has suddenly passed away on 6 September during a business trip to Salt Lake City, USA.

It is with great sadness and a loss deeply felt that we receive the news that Johan collapsed during a meeting on his business trip to the USA and that it was not possible to save his life. During his entire career, Johan conducted research about and worked with issues of organization, management and development of the health services. His competence in these areas was quite unique, both in a Swedish and an international perspective. Johan was also a generous human being with a great heart and a considerable commitment to societal issues. Our thoughts go out to his family.
