More information about the event

Students from JIBS and the School of Engineering will work together to solve a real life company problem, which will be revealed when the challenge begins, but will concern the media industry. 38 teams signed up for the contest and out of these, 15 have been selected to participate.

The event begins on the afternoon of 13 April when the chosen teams will visit the company that has provided the challenge. On the morning of April 14, they will start working, and have 24 hours in which to come up with a solution and prepare a pitch.

On April 15, the teams will present their solutions for juries composed of representatives from the School of Engineering, JIBS, Science Park and the business community. The six best teams will make their presentations a second time for an audience in a grand finale. The winning team wins SEK 60,000 and an additional three teams will win SEK 30,000 each.

Before the grand finale starts, Swedish Minister for Enterprise and Innovation will a short lecture, which is open to all students. He will speak about the climate for entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs and innovation in Sweden, and the presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

The prize money comes from a donation by Lennart Israelsson.
