Before Arrival

Make sure you announce your arrival to Accommodation Office before 15 December to confirm your application. Note: if you do not announce your arrival, you will lose your guaranteed accommodation. Keep in mind that there is a housing shortage, so students are strongly urged to follow through with the student housing application. More details about announcing your arrival, pick-up weekend, and contact info here.

Before arriving in Sweden, it is important to ensure that you have adequate insurance. Read more.

Please watch the film below about creating an user account, getting an e-mail address, finding your courses and more at Jönköping University.

You will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to register for your courses and activate your JU user account approximately a week before the start of the introduction week.

You need a JU card to access premises on campus, borrow books from the University Library, access printers, get student discounts, etc. You should order your JU card when activating your account. More info can be found at ju.se/ju-card

JU Mobile allows you to access your schedule through the app as well as book rooms, register for exams, see your study results, view the news, etc. You can download it on the App Store, or Google Play.

The Student Web is your resource for finding schedules, academic calendar, course syllabuses, etc.

Introduction Week

As a student you need an account to pay for printouts/copies. Read more here.

At JU, it is compulsory for all students to become members of Jönköping Student Union. The Student Union is a great resource for students – they influence the quality of education, arrange activities and trips, carry out various projects, and much more. The student union fee is included in the tuition for tuition-fee paying students, however, all other students are required to pay the membership fee separately. The Student Union is located in the Students’ House. Learn more here: http://www.jonkopingsstudentkar.se/english/about-us.html

If you need help with general study related questions, certificates, directions, etc. There are staff at Service Center (main campus, Jönköping) who can help guide you. More info here: http://ju.se/student/en/service/service-center

We expect you to be in Gränna for the roll call when the semester starts. If you can not arrive on time and you have informed pathwayadmissions@ju.se, we grant late arrivals until 28 February. After that we can grant individuals to arrive later, up until 31 March. Do not forget to inform accommodations@ju.se and your teachers at pathway@ju.se as well.

Are you arriving late? Do not worry, we will ensure students who have contacted us can participate online. Note that to be able to keep your place you have to partake in lectures, workshops and group work online.

Here you find the schedule with links to classes: www.ju.se/student

You need to be able to use Zoom, here you find more information about how to use Zoom: https://ju.se/en/it-helpdesk/faq---manuals/programs/zoom.html

Also remember to contact the Accommodation Office about your late arrival: accommodation@ju.se. Inform your Pathway teachers by emailing pathway@ju.se.
