Checklist

Before Arrival

By now, you should have already applied for student housing through our Accommodation Office. Make sure you announce your arrival to Accommodation Office between December 1-15 to confirm your application. Note: if you do not announce your arrival, you will lose your guaranteed accommodation.

Keep in mind that there is a severe housing shortage, so students are strongly urged to follow through with the student housing application. Please watch the film below about creating an user account, getting an e-mail address, finding your courses and more at Jönköping University.

You will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to register for your courses and activate your JU user account approximately a week before the start of the introduction week.

You need a JU card to access premises on campus, borrow books from the University Library, access printers, get student discounts, etc. You should order your JU card when activating your account. More info can be found at ju.se/ju-card

JU Mobile allows you to access your schedule through the app as well as book rooms, register for exams, see your study results, view the news, etc. You can download it on the App Store, or Google Play.

Documents to sign - Exchange students

Contact the International Office via the Case Management system, choose case type "Incoming Exchange". Upload the documents. Do not upload "Certificate of Arrival" before the start of the Introduction week.

Digital drop-in via Zoom - Exchange students

During the Introduction Week exchange students can talk to the International Office via Zoom. If you have any issues, meet us Monday - Friday 12.00-13.00 Online

As a student you need a Paypal account to pay for printouts/copies. After setting up an account, students receive an account credit of 50 SEK. Read more here.

At JU, it is compulsory for all students to become members of Jönköping Student Union. The Student Union is a great resource for students – they influence the quality of education, arrange activities and trips, carry out various projects, and much more. The student union fee is included in the tuition for tuition-fee paying students, however, all other students are required to pay the membership fee separately. If you need help with general study related questions, certificates, directions, etc. There are staff at Service Center who can help guide you. More info here: http://ju.se/student/en/service/service-center

It is compulsory to attend the Introduction Week, however if for some reason you are unable to arrive in time there, please contact the International Office (choose "Incoming Exchange" as the case type). Also remember to contact the Accommodation Office about your late arrival: accommodation@ju.se.
