On Tuesday 4 December, CeFEO invites to a seminar on business development through succession.
We often talk about all the problems with family business succession, and how it leads to tragedy for both the company and the family. And yes, the process is often a laborious one. But not always. And not only. Family business succession may also become a positive force allowing something new to be created for individuals, family and company alike.
Centre for Family Enterprise and Ownership (CeFEO) invites you to a seminar (held in Swedish) to gain a broader context of family business succession, by highlighting and discussing how a new generation can contribute new ideas and new ways of working. Speakers are Linda Fransson, Karin Hellerstedt and Kajsa Haag.
Linda Fransson is the managing director of Gnosjö Automatsvarvning AB, a company specialized in turning complex parts for industry. In this seminar, Linda talks about her experiences of growing up in a family business, one that she now owns together with her sister, and where they both work.
Karin Hellerstedt has a PhD in Business Administration from Jönköping International Business School. She conducts research on entrepreneurship and enterprise in teams, and is a sought-after speaker on issues relating to the area between entrepreneurship and family business. In an on-going project she is studying business transfers from an entrepreneurial perspective.
Kajsa Haag (Post doc) defended her thesis on family business succession in the autumn of 2012. She is interested in the inherent power of family businesses; especially how the families of several generations can work together to develop their business in an innovative and sustainable manner. Kajsa Haag is a researcher at the Centre for Family Enterprise and Ownership (CeFEO) at Jönköping International Business School.
