University of the Western Cape and Jönköping International Business School/CeFEO organised the first STEP Africa Family Business Workshop. It was held on the 25th of November 2011 in South Africa.
STEP - The Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practice research project involves comparative case study methodology in which researchers conduct and analyse multiple family business cases from different countries.
Two professors from CeFEO were key note speakers, Professors Leif Melin and Ethel Brundin. They discussed the topics "Characteristics of family firms", "Family capital as generator for transgenerational entrepreneurship" and "Findings from South African STEP".
