Gonzalo Luna Cortes Promoted to Associate Professor and Awarded Docentship

MMTC member Gonzalo Luna Cortes has been awarded the title of Docent and promoted to Associate Professor at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), marking an important milestone in his academic career.

The promotion recognizes Gonzalo's contributions to research and teaching within marketing, consumer behaviour, and tourism. Through his academic work, he has built a strong international research profile and contributed to advancing knowledge in areas such as consumer decision-making, sustainability, and service experiences.

In the Swedish academic system, the title of Docent is a distinguished qualification that acknowledges a researcher’s scientific independence and sustained research excellence. It is awarded following a rigorous assessment of academic merits and demonstrates the ability to lead research and supervise doctoral students independently.

For MMTC, Gonzalo's achievement reflects the high-quality research being conducted within the centre and strengthens its academic environment and international standing.
