Students pitched their thesis projects at Elmia
Students from the School of Engineering at Jönköping University gave five‑minute presentations of their thesis projects at the Elmia Manufacturing Fair. They also showcased their projects at Jönköping University’s booth and participated in speed-dating sessions with companies.

Jakob Edvardsson and Felix Tersmeden found it fun and rewarding to attend the fair.
Jakob Edvardsson and Felix Tersmeden, who are about to graduate from the Mechanical Engineering: Industrial and Production Management programme at the School of Engineering, completed their thesis project at CJ Automotive AB in Dahlstorp, a company that manufactures pedal systems for the automotive industry. They found it a valuable learning experience to give a presentation at Elmia and had to significantly shorten their study to stay within the time limit.
"You never get this opportunity otherwise"
"You’d never get this opportunity otherwise, with so many companies gathered in one place. It goes without saying that it’s much easier to make contacts and get time for an interview when you’re walking around here compared to traveling between companies and dropping off your resume," says Jakob.
"It’s an incredibly great opportunity for us to meet so many companies, especially now that we’re about to graduate and have been out in the industry during our capstone projects. We’ve learned a lot about production, which makes it easier to talk to exhibitors," says Felix.
Proud teachers
Tomas Wigerfelt, Olof Granath, and Carin Rösiö were among the JTH teachers at the fair.
“You’re proud of your students, of course; it’s really great to see them,” says Tomas Wigerfelt, program director for Industrial Economics and Production Management, with a smile.
