Swedish Aluminum, which includes around 50 member companies in the aluminum industry, is new strategic partner to JTH.
"We want to bring our member companies closer to academia, says Lars-Inge Arwidson, Managing Director at Swedish Aluminum.

Swedish Aluminum has long had cooperation with JU and JTH and Lars-Inge Arwidson emphasizes that JTH has a large group of competent researchers who have successively broadened their expertise on aluminum to meet the research needs in extrusion, rolling, machining and surface treatment. Lars-Inge Arwidson also refers to the fact that JTH was awarded the Big Alumnium Price (Stora Aluminiumpriset) in 2018 for its research in aluminum, "now and in the future."

Swedish Aluminum enters as the third strategic node to JTH, alongside Träcentrum and Campus Värnamo.

"An exciting group of companies"

“They will strengthen our contacts with an exciting group of companies within a future industry that has a great need for skilled workers. The partnership is a result of our already strong collaboration with Swedish Aluminum and a proof that JTH is the hub for Swedish aluminum research,” says Ingrid Wadskog, Managing Director and Dean at JTH.

She thinks that Swedish Aluminum complements the JTH’s other strategic nodes, Träcentrum and Campus Värnamo, by extending its reach into companies in the aluminum industry.
