The first phase of ProValue laid the foundation for the continued work within GRACE by defining shared objectives, roadmaps, and an updated project portfolio. ProValue II moves the focus to implementation, with an emphasis on monitoring and supporting the transition towards integrated and platform‑enabled product realisation supporting industry’s contribution to the green transition. ProValue II adopts a holistic perspective and ensures a coordinated and joint drive towards GRACE’s future state.

The ProValue project (2026–2032) strengthens GRACE’s long‑term transformational capacity by developing collaboration, joint knowledge production (co‑production), and organisational transformation capabilities among participating partners. A shared collaboration arena enables continuous knowledge exchange between research projects, industrial partners, and external stakeholders. Co‑production capability is systematically enhanced through recurring assessments and concrete improvement initiatives, resulting in practices, guidelines, and scientific outputs.

The project also monitors the industrial partners’ progress in sustainable and circular product realisation through maturity assessments, analyses of sustainability reports, and continuous dialogue linked to roadmaps. A maturity assessment instrument focused on GRACE‑specific challenges is expected to become a key tool for supporting shared understanding and long‑term learning. Finally, organisational and cultural conditions that enable sustainability ambitions to be translated into everyday development practices are examined, with the aim of supporting lasting change in industry.

Expected results and impact

To succeed in a transformation journey, the value of a shared objective and a common understanding cannot be overstated. Through ProValue II, an arena is established for exchange and joint dialogue on results and progress within GRACE. Our ambition is to maintain and further strengthen the “GRACE spirit” that began to emerge during the first phase of ProValue.

In addition, ProValue II is expected to deliver more tangible outcomes, including scientific publications, a maturity assessment instrument, progress reports, enhanced co‑production capability, and increased transformation capacity among the participating actors.

Project Implementation

The work in the project is organised into several work packages (WPs), each expected to deliver distinct and complementary outcomes:

WP1. Collaboration arena – content and coordination

WP2. Co‑production capability (the ability to jointly create new and relevant knowledge)

WP3. GRACE progress monitoring

WP4. GRACE maturity assessment instrument to support shared understanding

WP5. Organisational enablers and cultural transformation for sustainable product development

WP6. Dissemination of results
