  • Happiness and celebrations at Jönköping University’s graduation ceremonies


    Matin Adel On 5 June, graduation ceremonies were held for approximately 1,450 students from the School of Health and Welfare, the School of Education and Communication, and the School of Engineering. On Sweden’s National Day, 6 June, Jönköping International Business School also held its graduation ceremony for just over 600 students. See the slideshow from the festivities below.

  • Students simulate crisis leadership during cyberattacks

This was the central question when master’s students in Cybersecurity at the School of Engineering in Jönköping took part in an extensive simulation-based exercise last week.“The aim of the exercise was to give students practical experience in participating in and leading this type of scenario – something they can take directly into their future careers within cybersecurity and critical infrastructure,” says Erik Bergström, Associate Professor in Computer Science and Programme Director of the master’s programme in Cybersecurity at the School of Engineering.
  • President Måns Svensson elected Chair of EULiST


    Måns Svensson, president of Jönköping University, has been elected as the new Chair of EULiST (European Universities Linking Society and Technology). The decision was taken unanimously by the alliance’s presidents and announced at the General Assembly.“It’s a great honour and an inspiration to take on this role,” says Måns Svensson, president of Jönköping University.
  • Bonniers and Hamrins support students’ reading


    Tre studenter i biblioteket This autumn, Jönköping University (JU) is launching its fiction initiative, JU Reads, which gives students the opportunity to broaden their perspectives through reading and discussion. The initiative is supported by the Bonniers Family Foundation and the Hamrin Foundation. On 3 September, there will be a launch party where both students and the public will have the opportunity to take part in a social gathering and an exciting secret author talk.
  • National review of social work programmes completed


    The Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) has evaluated programmes leading to a degree in social work. The Social Work Programme at the School of Health and Welfare at Jönköping University has been assessed as having insufficient quality in two assessment areas.
  • The JUVE Academic Choir performed to a full house in Vienna


    The JUVE Academic Choir performed to a packed Peter’s Church in Vienna. How important are international exchanges for a choir? If you ask Dan Boberg and the members of JUVE, who have just returned from a trip to Vienna, the answer is obvious.“It created an even stronger sense of unity within the choir. It was a learning experience for both the choir and the individual members. You could tell that the atmosphere within the group yielded results musically,” he says.
  • JU Master’s student named Quality Profile of the Year


    Prisutdelning Every year, Kvalitetsmagasinet presents the Quality Profile of the Year award to an individual who, in a particularly inspiring way, contributes to developing and strengthening quality work in Sweden. This year, the award goes to Moa Holm, a student on the Master’s programme in Quality Improvement and Leadership in Health and Welfare at the School of Health and Welfare at Jönköping University (JU).
