“You don’t always have to plan something big”

This summer, Jönköping University (JU) is offering plenty of inspiration. Every week, staff from different parts of JU share their best summer tips – everything from hidden gems and day-trip destinations to personal favourites for relaxation and that holiday feeling. This tip comes from Khatema Tawasoli, who recently graduated from the Master of Science in Business and Economics programme, specializing in accounting, at Jönköping International Business School at JU.
What are you doing this summer?
This summer, I’m looking forward to graduating after several years of study. I plan to spend a lot of time with family and friends, travel a bit, and just enjoy having more free time after an intense period of studying, work placements and my final thesis.
Do you have any favourite activities in Sweden during the summer?
What I enjoy most is being outdoors when the weather is nice. I like walking by the sea, going on day trips to new places and sitting at outdoor cafés with friends. Summer in Sweden is also perfect for barbecues and spending time with friends.
What is your best summer tip?
My best summer tip is to make the most of the long summer evenings. You don’t always have to plan something big; sometimes a walk, a coffee with friends or a trip to a new place is enough to create lovely summer memories. Like Gothenburg, which is just a two-hour bus ride from Jönköping.
