We are AACSB accredited
In 2015, JIBS became the first Swedish institution to receive AACSB accreditation. As part of a continuous review process, all AACSB-accredited schools undergo a review every five years. This process signals that JIBS has documented continuous improvements supporting its stated mission and strategic management plan to sustain AACSB accreditation status.
The most recent review at JIBS was in November 2020, and in January 2021, the AACSB board of directors decided to award the school with a further five years of accreditation.
Any action items identified by the visiting AACSB international peer-review teams are followed up in JIBS in its annual strategy work and form part of the school's yearly action plans.
AACSB is the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. For both academics and global corporations, it is considered the gold standard of business school accreditation. To receive accreditation, a school must be a member of AACSB International and offer degree-granting programs in business or management.
Achieving AACSB Accreditation is a rigorous process. Each accreditation standard assesses a school's ability to perform in critical areas, such as teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning.
AACSB accreditation ensures that the business school is providing top-quality education, and for future employers, it's a sign that graduates are ready to perform from day one. Additionally, AACSB accreditation provides many benefits to faculty and staff at its accredited schools by attracting higher quality students, providing more significant research opportunities, and allowing for global recognition.
