The bachelor programmes in International Management and Marketing Management have the option to study abroad at a certain partner university and obtain a Double Degree. When completed students will obtain a degree both from JIBS and from the partner university.

International Management

Study semester 5 and an additional year (semester 7 and 8) at KEDGE and obtain the degree Bachelor of Commerce from KEDGE. During semester 7 students have the possibility to choose between internship or study specialization courses at KEDGE.

Double degree course package:

Semester 5: Sales Technics, Enterprise & Leadership, Business Sustainability and Globalization, Management Information systems, HR & Team management, Elective French Language.

Semester 7: Internship (4 months) or Kedge Bachelor specialization: Business Game, Diagnostic Case Study and one choice of five tracks:
a) Marketing (in Bordeaux)
b) International Transport & Maritime Supply Chain (in Marseille)
c) Trade and Business Development (in Marseille)
d) Wine and Sustainability (in Bordeaux)
e) Management and Negotiation Strategies (in Bordeaux)

Semester 8: Applied Financial Case Studies, Management applied to Regional Industries, International Marketing, Cross Cultural Management, Globalized HRM, Corporate Strategy, Supply Chain management, Elective French language.

The internship: The internship is done in connection with Kedge, who then provide detailed information about requirements.

JIBS requirements: Results from Year 1+ A1 (August-October), maximum 75 credits. Minimum 60 credits out of 75 credits at the time of application.

Erasmus scholarship for studies: Possible to apply for the Erasmus scholarship for studies (not traineeship) for 2 semesters, recommended semesters are 7 and 8. Note, all the studies/internship must take place within Europe, Sweden excluded to be able to obtain the Erasmus scholarship. Apply during semester 6.

Study semester 4 - 6 at EBS and obtain the degree Bachelor of General Management from EBS. Students do their Bachelor thesis at EBS. Internship is included and is done during the summer.

In order to obtain the degree at JIBS, students need to study 15 credits within Economics at EBS. Some of the courses at EBS are electives and some of these then need to be within Economics.

Double degree course package: International Management, Data Analytics, Strategy, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Applied Economics, Business Law, Managing People, Digitalization & Transformation, Social Impact Project, Business in Society, Economics of Firms and Markets, Research Methods, Electives/Specialisation courses, Project Paper and Bachelor Thesis.

The internship: The internship (5 ECTS, 8 weeks) is done in connection with EBS, who then provide detailed information about requirements. Note, if the internship is done during the summer you need to purchase a private health insurance. Students are not registered on an internship course at JIBS.

EBS application requirements: According to Hesse Ministry all applicants who will study for a degree must hand in Highschool grades in English certifying the courses mathematics 3b or 3c, social sciences 1b or 1a1 + 1a2 OR mathematics C, social sciences A OR equivalent. Prepare well in advance to hand in this document by the application deadline to EBS!

Interested students with high school grades from other countries than Sweden or from International Baccalaureate, hand in your high school grades to International Office by June 30 preferably and it will be forwarded to EBS. The Hesse Ministry will check eligibility and give notice of the result. There might be an administration fee, 60 -110 euro which needs to be payed by the student.
CV + proof of identity is also needed for the application.

JIBS requirements: Results from Year 1, maximum 60 credits. Minimum 37,5 credits out of 60 credits at the time of application. Students must have the following courses at JIBS before the studies at EBS: Macro economics, Micro economics, Fundamentals of accounting (financial and management), Marketing Management as well as Business statistics. 

Erasmus scholarship for studies: Possible to apply for the Erasmus scholarship for 2 semesters, recommended semesters are 5 and 6. Apply during semester 4.

Marketing Management

Study semester 5 and 6 at IQS and an internship during the summer and then obtain the degree Bachelor in International Marketing. Students do their Bachelor thesis at IQS.

Double degree course package: Strategic Marketing, Marketing B2B, Principles of Digital Marketing, Introduction to Web Design, Strategic Digital Communication, Introduction Digital Analytics, New Electronic Marketing Devices (Elective), Consumer Behaviour (Elective), Final Project Dissertation, Internship. The internship: The internship is done in connection with IQS, who then provide detailed information about requirements. Make sure to set up an agreement between the company and IQS. During the internship you need to purchase a private health insurance. Students are not registered on an internship course at JIBS.

IQS accreditations: AACSB

JIBS requirements: Results from Year 1+ A1 (August-October), maximum 75 credits. Minimum 60 credits out of 75 credits at the time of application.

Requirements to obtain the degree from IQS: Completed courses within the double degree programme including the internship and 120 ECTS at JIBS at the Marketing Management programme.
Note! IQS requires all students to pay the administrative fee of approx. 300 euro to issue the degree certificate.

Erasmus scholarship for studies: Possible to apply for the Erasmus scholarship for the 2 semesters. Apply during semester 4.

Courses at the partner university

Students participting in the double degree programme study a fixed package of courses at the partner university to be able to obtain the degrees. These courses are decided by JIBS and the partner university.

How to apply

The application to JIBS double degree programme consists of the following parts:

  1. Application in JU online application, open specific dates.
  2. Send the following documents to the email address received at the information meeting with your programme:
    - A motivation letter which indicates why you would benefit from the double degree programme.
    - A CV. Description of other relevant merits that reflect your personal characteristics and strategic contributions to JIBS student environment, JIBS development and/or societal development.
  3. Applicants will also be called for an interview.

Students will receive an email with the results of the selection process. Students who receive an offer of a double degree place need to accept the place in Intapps and then apply to the partner university. Double degree students follow the same process as regular exchange hereafter.

Students who pay tuition for their study programme at JIBS, pay tuition to JIBS also during the semesters within the double degree programme. Tuition at the host institution is waived.
