Students win with best idea for social entreprenurship
Between 12-14 April, 15 teams of students from Jönköping University (JU) took part in the JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge 2021, a 24-hour race organised by Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) where the students must solve a real-life business case. This year, IKEA provided the challenge – to come up with ideas on how IKEA can strengthen their work with developing social entrepreneurship.

The Magna Charta Universitatum (MCU) is an international declaration of the role that universities have in society. The document establishes the basic values of higher education institutions, including autonomy, independence, dissemination of knowledge, and the important relationship between education and research.

JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge livestream
On the 12 april, JU students will be solving a real-life case presented to them by IKEA in the online 24-hour innovation race JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge. The winners will be announced in a special livestream on the 14 April.

New app helps graduates find jobs in Jönköping region
A group of graduates from Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) and the School of Engineering (JTH) have created a mobile app that will connect job-seeking students from Jönköping University (JU) with companies within the Jönköping region. The app, developed in connection with several local partners, hopes to encourage skilled students to stay and work in the region after graduation.

Top rating for Healthcare Administrator programme
The Healthcare Administrator vocational programme has received the highest rating from the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education. The programme, which is run by Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University, in collaboration with Jönköping Academy and the Department of Natural Science and Biomedicine at the School of Health and Welfare, was given ‘Very High Quality’ not only as an overall rating, but also in every individual criterion in which the education was assessed.

Opening hours during Easter
On Thursday 1 April, Jönköping University is open until 14:00. During the Easter weekend, the university will be closed and opens again on Tuesday 6 April.

Swedish universities sign collaboration agreement
On Friday, 26 March, the presidents of Chalmers University of Technology, University of Gothenburg, University of Borås, University of Skövde, University West and Jönköping University signed an agreement on alliance cooperation. The collaboration is called University Network of West Sweden, and the goal is to develop the quality and diversity of the parties' operations.

Four new master’s programmes at School of Engineering this autumn
The School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) will start four new master’s programmes this fall.“What makes our master’s programmes unique is our close collaboration with the business community,” says Patrik Cannmo, Associate Dean of Education at JTH.
