Anup Banerjee

Anup holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration. His research focuses on corporate governance and board leadership in various organizational forms. In his doctoral thesis, Anup explored the evolving role of the board chair amidst changing expectations and governance challenges in hybrid organizations, resulting in publications in reputable academic outlets. As a service to the academic community, he regularly reviews for leading journals and conferences.

He teaches several bachelor's and master's level courses, focusing primarily on leadership, organization, and entrepreneurship. As an educator, he aims to offer a holistic learning experience that bridges bridging between theory and practice and promotes an ethical and compassionate learning environment mindful of diverse backgrounds of all stakeholders involved.

He has held various leadership positions, such as the founding chairperson at the JU Doctoral Student Council (JU doktorandråd) and the main representative at the Board of Doctoral Candidates (BoDC) in JIBS. Throughout his career, he has organized multiple events and leadership training programs, written articles for prominent news outlets, and conducted community services in impoverished areas.

Anup completed his MSc in Business Administration from JIBS with a fully-funded Swedish Institute Study Scholarship. For his academic performance and excellence in extra-curricular activities, he received the 2018 “Global Swede” award from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Sweden, and the Swedish Institute, and the “JIBS Rising Star Award” from JIBS Student Association in 2018. He also holds an MBA and BBA in Marketing from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
