Participatory Perspectives on Digitalisation in Health and Welfare: From Needs to Implementation 7,5 hp.

The general learning outcomes of the course are that students will deepen their knowledge of theories and methods within participatory digitalisation and acquire analytical and critical approaches to current research and the development of methods within health and welfare from a participatory perspective. Students will deepen their knowledge of digitalisation in the field of health and welfare using current societal challenges as their point of departure. Students will also develop the ability to apply the theories and methods presented during the course to their own area of research.

The course consists of three modules: Societal challenges and participatory innovations in health and welfare; Coproduction and method development in participatory research; Implementation and participatory digitalisation. It consists of both campus meetings with discussions and tasks on digital platforms.

This course is a collaboration between Halmstad University, the School of Health and Welfare as well as Mälardalen University Sweden. In each course module there is one campus meeting (two days) which will take place at the universities mentioned above.
