Master's Admission Guide

The following supporting documents are required for all Master's applications:

Local Admission

Jönköping University offers a local admission for international students to apply directly to us. We recommend the local admission.

 

Application period

October 17 - April 15 (May 15 deadline for Non-EU applicants.)
After placing an online application, students should send all supporting documents directly to Jönköping University, by post, within 2 weeks.


Note:
If you have already applied through universityadmissions.se, the Swedish national admission (open October 17- January 15), you do not need to place an application through our local Jönköping University admission.

  • Bachelor Diploma (certified copy)*. You must have successfully completed a bachelor degree at a recognized university.
  • Note: If you have not yet received the diploma, but are in your final year, you may submit documentation from your university, certifying that you are an active student in your last semester. The document must be issued through and certified by a representative of the Academic Registrar's Office, the Examinations Office, or equivalent.
  • Transcripts (certified copy or sent directly from your university depending on which country your degree is from) *
  • Proof of English proficiency- See: Language Requirements
  • A copy of your passport (EU/EEA/Swiss citizens may submit a copy of a valid identity card which clearly states citizenship in place of apassport copy).
  • Letter of Motivation- Motivation letter should be no longer than 1000 words. Work experience that relates to programme considered an asset.
  • Web-based interview may be conducted as part of the admissions process.
  • We do not require a GMAT,  GRE or CFA, but a good score may strengthen your application to some Master’s programmes at Jönköping International Business School. You will find more information in the "Facts" section of each specific Master programme page. You are welcome to send a certified copy of your test result with your application.
  • Specific prerequisites for each programme- Please check to make sure you meet the specific requirements for each programme (listed in the "Facts" section on each programme page).

* All copies must be officially certified as true copies, which means they should be stamped and signed by the issuing school or a notary public in the original language and in an officially certified translation in English (or Swedish), if the documents are issued in another language.

If your degree was awarded in Cameroon, Canada, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, or USA, an official transcript of record must be sent directly from your university to the ourAdmissions Office, in a sealed envelope. If your degree was awarded in Pakistan, your degrees/transcripts and diplomas awarded must be attested by the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan.Transcripts from other countries may be received as certified copies.

Sending application documents by post

After printing out the application form, sign and send it along with all above supporting certified documents. by post to Jönköping University, Admissions Office.

When your application and all enclosed documents have reached the Admissions Office, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail.

Important

  • Applications that are not supported by officially certified documents, will not be processed. Jönköping University checks the authenticity of documents with the issuing school.

Application Fee

Sweden requires an application fee of SEK 900 for citizens outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.More information regarding who is required to pay fees.
