Welcome to an Open Lecture on ICF-CY
The research environment CHILD invites everyone to an open lecture by Swiss Dr. Jerome Bickenbach:
Ethical considerations in applying the ICF and ICF-CY
The ICF and ICF-CY are powerful epidemiological tools for describing the lived experience of disability, from body functions and structures to the activities and areas of participation that shape the individual’s life. Ethically speaking, the ICF situates disability as a universal human experience, rather than as a feature of an individual that sets him or her apart from others. Because of this, the ICF presents a range of ethical issues that go beyond the usual issues of professional ethics in any intervention involving personal information (e.g. confidentiality, respect, and autonomy). This lecture explores both the generic professional ethical issues and those that are unique to ICF and the ICF philosophy of functioning and disability.
At Jönköping University, School of Education and Communication, in Västbosalen Hb 220 on Thursday 10 September 2015, 1 pm-2:30 pm.
All are welcome!
