Weblearn: Webinar on challenges for durability

Aluminium is known to be a metal that is resistant to corrosion, but when we work with aluminium alloys this is not always true. Alloying elements are added to Al to increase the mechanical performances, but can be detrimental to the durability of the metal.

In this webinar, we will focus on understanding how alloying element influence corrosion resistance of Al alloys and what we should consider when choosing and testing an Al alloy.

After attending this webinar you will know more about:

  • How the alloy chemical composition affects corrosion resistance

  • What are the possible degradation mechanisms of Al alloys

  • How manufacturing process affect the durability of Al alloys

Register for the webinar, that is in English only, no later then 19 May here
