Researchers at Jönköping University can publish open access in most of Wiley's subscription-based journals and their fully open access journals without having to pay any author fee, a so-called APC (Article Processing Charge).
This is made possible by the participation of Jönköping University in a Swedish national consortium agreement with Wiley. The agreement is valid for the period of 2020-2022.
Through the agreement, the article will be made freely available to everyone, including those who do not have access via subscription.
The agreement comprises more than 1,440 subscription-based journals (OnlineOpen) and over 150 fully open access journals (Wiley Open Access).
In order to use this service you have to be the corresponding author of the article and affiliated wtih Jönköping University.
Corresponding author is defined as the author that handles “all correspondence about the article and sign the publishing agreement on behalf of all the authors”.
When you, as a corresponding author, have had your article accepted and verified by the library, Wiley will send you an email in which you are asked to sign a publishing agreement concerning open access and also confirm the Creative Commons license for your article, which is already preselected. Such a licence will let the reader know how she or he can use the article:
CC BY = BY stands for "attribution". Choosing CC BY means that you allow others to use, share, and modify your work, even in commercial contexts. Others who use your work in any way must give you credit. A CC BY license will, potentially, have the greatest dissemination and impact of your article.
