DiVA is a repository database for long term preservation of research publications and student theses written at Jönköping University
Registering research publications
Registering research publications made by researchers at the University is made for several reasons, but the main one is to make Jönköping University more visible.
One of the most marked results is that all the registered publications are presented on each web site of each researcher or research areas.
Furthermore, it is of utmost importance that research carried out at the University is available in DiVA in order to be presented for the Ministry of Education and Research, the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education, and other research sponsors.
All research publications at Jönköping University - personal CV's
DiVA is both a publishing database for all publications made at the University, but also works as the basis for each researcher's individual research presentation, i.e. it includes all published research made before he or she started working at Jönköping University. It is very important to distinguish between these two affiliations, since the reporting to the Ministry and the export of data to the research database SwePub must only contain publications made at this university. When a publication made at another university than Jönköping University is registered in DiVA, that university must be indicated instead. This is done by clicking on the icon that says Other university, and then enter the name.
Make your research visible
You can add full text files to anything you register in DiVA. By adding the article as a pdf file to the registered record you will make your research visible to those who do not have access to scholarly journals and commercial journal databases. However, it is very important to make sure that you have copyright to your articles. Many commercial publishers of scholarly journals allow you to publish a full text version of the article in a publishing database like DiVA. Read more about parallel publishing.
