Forskning

Boström är verksam som forskare vid Encell och hennes forskningsområde är internationell och jämförande pedagogik med inriktning på livslångt lärande, generationsöverskridande lärande och socialt kapital. Boström är aktiv inom flera internationella nätverk inom området och är ansvarig för utvärdering av det europeiska projektet ECIL - ett projekt för överföring av kunskap om generationsövergripande lärande mellan europeiska länder.

Sedan sin doktorsexamen har Boström arbetat som undervisningsråd på Myndigheten för skolutveckling och Skolverket, samt varit ämnessakkunnig på Regeringskansliet. Då har hon i huvudsak arbetat med forskningsfrågor och internationellt representerat Sverige i Europarådet, OECD och EU. Hon har varit ansvarig för två landsrapporter i samband med OECD-granskningar, ”Migrant Education” och ”Evaluation and Assessment in Education”.
