Register for this year's Children's Rights Conference

On November 20, Jönköping’s Children’s Rights Conference, themed Trust and the Rights of the Child in a Changing World, will be taking place. The conference explores children’s and young people’s experiences of trust in everyday life and in encounters with societal institutions. How can adults, together with children and young people, build bridges of trust that strengthen engagement and hope for the future?

The program includes lectures by Charbel Gabro and Evin Cetin. Charbel Gabro was named Speaker of the Year 2024, and Evin Cetin is a lawyer and author of the books Child Soldiers and Among Us.

Also participating are nine socially engaged children and young people from Norrahammar, Råslätt, and Tenhult, as well as poets Marx Mukuru and Nasir Sarr (winner of “Ortens bästa poet”), Young Entrepreneurship, and the organization MÄN – a movement for everyone who wants to fight for gender equality and against men's violence.

Jönköping University is organizing the conference in collaboration with the Children’s Rights Focus Group in Jönköping County, Save the Children, RF-SISU, Erikshjälpen, the Women’s and Girls’ Shelter, Share Music and Performing Arts, Region Jönköping County, Municipal Development, Jönköping Municipality, Vetlanda Municipality, and the County Administrative Board of Jönköping.
