Support for students and employees in light of the conflict in the Middle East

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East is causing concern and affecting both students and employees at Jönköping University. Many may be directly affected or feel deeply concerned about the situation. Here we have gathered information about the support JU is offering during this time.

Support for students

Students who need counseling or advice can contact Student Health Services.
More information and contact details are available here.

International students who are here on exchange or students who are going on exchange can contact the International Office if you have any practical questions. You can contact the International Office either by making a request or you can join our drop-in sessions for an individual meeting. Contact information for the International Office can be found here.

Support for employees

Employees who are affected by the events and need professional support can get help through the occupational health service. Initial contact is made through your immediate manager.

Chaplaincy

Both students and employees are welcome to contact the Chaplaincy, which offers support and counseling regardless of faith or worldview.

Travel advice and official information

Jönköping University follows the recommendations of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Swedish authorities. Currently, travel advisories are in place for several countries in the region.

JU also recommends that students and employees planning trips abroad register on the Ministry for Foreign Affairs' Svensklista, if you are a Swedish citizen, and download the app, Resklar, to stay up to date on your destination and receive current travel information.
