Join the SASUF Network as a Student Representative
Are you interested in international collaboration and representing the student perspective at a global level? We are now recruiting one Student Representative to participate in the SASUF Student Network. This is a great opportunity to build international networks, gain insight into higher education collaboration, and amplify student voices.
SASUF – South Africa Sweden University Forum
SASUF is a collaborative initiative bringing together 37 partner universities from Sweden and South Africa. The project connects researchers, educators, students, university leadership, and other key stakeholders to jointly develop solutions to global challenges linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030.
The SASUF Student Network unites students from 37 partner universities in South Africa and Sweden as an integrated part of the overarching SASUF collaboration.
As a Student Representative, you will:
Represent Jönköping University within the SASUF Student Network and take part in one of the four student committees organized by the network. You will participate in SASUF-related meetings, events, and conferences (both virtual and on-site). You are expected to participate in a Student Leadership Program organized by the network together with partnering universities.
Who we are looking for
We seek engaged and motivated students who:
- Have an interest in international relations, global challenges, or higher education cooperation
- Are comfortable representing student perspectives in international settings
- Can allocate time for meetings and participation in physical and virtual events over a long-term period, ending in Spring 2028
- Enjoy collaboration across cultures and academic disciplines
Term and structure
- The mandate lasts until graduation or voluntary resignation
- The role requires a commitment to participate in the Student Network until Spring 2028
- The position is not a paid assignment
- Travel and accommodation costs for SASUF Student related events and conferences are covered by JU
- The recruitment process is coordinated by the Local SASUF coordinator at JU, and is conducted with continuous selection.
