Conny Larsson new ambassador for new node for surface designers

Conny Larsson, Lecturer Industrial Design at the School of Engineering, has been appointed ambassador for the node for surface designers within the Swedish Design Society.

The Swedish Design society has appointed a ambassador for the new node for surface designers and it is Conny Larsson, Lecturer Industrial Design at the School of Engineering, Jönköping University.

Conny Larsson was previously programme manager for the surface designers programme Digital Design, which until 2016 was on Campus i12 in Eksjö. Several of the students who completed the programme got jobs, especially in the automotive industry in Europe. In connection with the prorgamme, the industry association Swesurf Swedish Surface designers’ network was formed. The network included 15 large companies such as Volvo Cars, Volvo Trucks, Toyota, Sigma and Greenworks to support the need of the surface designers in the market.

Swesurf will be a thematic node within the Swedish Design Society and Conny Larsson will be its ambassador.

“The node will contribute with expertise in product development to ensure that research generates innovation,” says Conny Larsson.

His first assignment as ambassador will be to collaborate with the Jönköping company Resinex in planning a seminar in new polymeric materials.
