JU Solar Team attracts attention at Elmia

JU Solar Team is attracting a lot of interest at Elmia Solar, which runs 4-6 February.

“We want to be seen and draw attention to our solar car project so that more people know how exciting and important it is,” says Alma Jonsson in the solar car team.

A lot of visitors come to the JU Solar Team's stand at Elmia Solar to talk to the team members and see the solar car that the previous team drove in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia 2023. Many people think it is an interesting project and are curious about how the solar car works.

Many good wishes

“It has been great fun, and many have wished us good luck for this year's competition of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, which is held 24-31 August. Some people told us about solar car projects they have tried to start in other parts of Sweden, but that they have not been able to make it happen,” says Alma Jonsson.

Her solar car colleagues Maja Nyström and Noel Tärnbrant also gave a presentation at Elmia Solar about their solar car project and solar cell technology.

Means a lot

This is the second time that JU Solar Team participates in Elmia Solar, but the first time as an exhibitor. They want to broaden their contact network and hopefully get more sponsors, which Alma Jonsson sees as a win-win situation.

“Sponsorship means a lot to us, but it also gives a lot back to the companies that support us. It is an opportunity for them to be seen in positive and green contexts, which strengthens their brand, says Alma Jonsson.
