EULiST visit for exchanges and cooperation

Doctoral students, professors, teachers and others from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU) are visiting the School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) 2-5 June.

"The main purpose of our visit is to give our Doctoral students the opportunity to network, go on exchanges and hopefully participate in research projects together with JTH", says Peter Klimáček, Project Manager of EULiST at STU.

Peter Klimáček, Project Manager of EULiST at STU, sees great benefits in collaborating with JTH.

The twelve Slovakian guests have been shown around JTH and JU's campus. They have visited Husqvarna Group and will meet Science Park in Jönköping to hear about their innovations and collaborations together with JU.

"Really like your People First vision"

"We are a technical university and know that you are good at cybernetics, robotics and sustainability at JTH. It is great to be here. Jönköping is a wonderful city and I look forward to exploring it more. JU's campus is very nice and I really like your People first vision, says Peter Klimáček.

Benefit for companies

Kerstin Johansen, Associate Dean of Research at JTH, says that one goal of the visit is to achieve mobility through more exchanges with STU, and that in the longer term they also want to achieve research collaborations for which they can get EU funding.

"Husqvarna Group and our other strategic partners at JTH can benefit from EULiST through, for example, our exchanges with doctoral students from other European universities and, if we collaborate strategically well together, also EU projects", says Kerstin Johansen.
