Many thanks to Professor Harry Garretsen from International Economics & Business at the University of Groningen, for presenting an interesting research seminar on "Geographical Psychology, Entrepreneurship & Regional Economics"

On Tuesday 24th May we had a pleasure to listen Professor Harry Garretsen presenting a research seminar on "Geographical Psychology, Entrepreneurship & Regional Economics".

Economic growth differences across regions and cities are only partly explained by standard economic explanations. One reason for this might be the neglect of the psychological make-up of cities and its citizens. To assess the value added of incorporating psychological factors, this seminar discusseede the relevance of personality traits for economic growth and other regional outcome variables.
