Her dissertation, “Entrepreneurial Resourcefulness: The Role of Emotions and The Community”, explores how entrepreneurs creatively mobilize resources. The research highlights the role of emotions and community embeddedness in shaping entrepreneurial behaviour, offering new insights into how entrepreneurs navigate challenges and create opportunities.

The work contributes to MMTC’s research focus areas of entrepreneurship, transformation, and diversity & inclusion, by showing how entrepreneurial practice is deeply influenced by social and emotional dimensions. Beyond theory, her findings also hold relevance for policy and practice, especially in supporting entrepreneurs working in resource-constrained environments.

We warmly congratulate Dr. Rida Ijaz on this important academic milestone and wish her the very best in her future research journey.
