The research project MAIn investigates how industrial companies can lead and structure their AI integration in a strategic and sustainable way. The project is carried out in close collaboration between researchers at Jönköping University and a number of industrial partners.

Introduction

AI is not only a technological force for change - it is also an organizational challenge. Many companies are facing increased demands to implement complex AI initiatives but often lack clear strategies, structures and learning processes to succeed.

Purpose

Through an interactive research approach, MAIn develops new models for how AI can be integrated in a way that takes into account both the capabilities of technology and the role of humans. The project combines perspectives from artificial intelligence, flow thinking and organizational ambidexterity - the ability to balance the use of existing resources with the exploration of new ones.

Expected results

The project's core areas include management structures, change and innovation processes, and competence development. MAIn develops tools and methods to assess AI maturity, identify competence needs and enables continuous learning between people and technology. The results are concretized in the form of diagnostic models and educational materials for both companies and universities.

The project name MAIn stands for Managing AI Integration.
