Interlibrary loan of literature not available at Jönköping University Library or Jönköping Public Library can be made from other libraries in and outside of Sweden.
The interlibrary loan service is primarily intended for students and staff at Jönköping University. It is also possible for students from other universities to make interlibrary loans, although to a more restricted extent. Other library users are referred to their local public libraries.
Material that you need for your studies or research, and that is not found in our library in printed or electronic form can be ordered by interlibrary loan.
Books that are already borrowed from our library can not be ordered by interlibrary loan.
Please note that certain types of material can not be requested by interlibrary loan, such as reference literature, course literature, journals and, in many cases, exam papers.
You can make an interlibrary loan at the information desk or use the request form.
You must always state your library card number when you make a request.

When we receive the material by interlibrary loan you will be notified by e-mail and you can collect the item at the information desk. Staff at the University will receive their article copies by internal mail.
Article copies: 40 SEK/article.
Loan from Sweden, Norway and Denmark: free of charge.
Loan from other countries: 120 SEK/book.
Students: The charge is added to the library card information and is paid at the information desk.
Staff: An invoice is sent to each school each semester.
For distance students specific regulations are applied.
The delivery time for an interlibrary loan varies, but normally takes 5-7 days. The loan period and other terms are decided by the lending library.
