Course Contents

The aim of the course is to develop your understanding and knowledge about logistics and supply chain management as well as the key role of each actor, the functions, the processes, and the flows. Additionally, the course aims to highlight and discuss how these elements, mentioned above, are interrelated and interacting. It introduces the students to the complexity and multi-dimensionality of logistics and supply chain operations for product and services. Further, students will acquire insights into how changes in one part of the supply chain can influence parts, and sometimes the entire supply chain and its development. **Connection to research and practice** To a large extent, this course builds on research excellence and practical relevance. Students will have a unique opportunity to learn about contemporary aspects of supply chain management and the importance of logistics operations, while also applying relevant theoretical concepts to cases and best practices on an international level. The course is expected to help students develop their capabilities to identify, manage and use supply chains as a means of creating business value, resilience, sustainability, and enhancing competitive advantage in various ways.

Prerequisites

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (i.e the equivalent of 180 credits at an accredited university) (or the equivalent).
