CeFEO and ESOL researchers received FOBI scholarship!
Börje Boers, PhD candidate, and Associate Professor Mattias Nordqvist received the prestigious FOBI scholarship award 2011 for their proposal entitled " Understanding Hybrid Identity Organizations: The Case of Publicly Listed Family Businesses".
Some information on the FOBI Research Scholars Program:
“The mission of the Family Owned Business Institute at Grand Valley State University is to promote, preserve, influence, and impact family businesses through quality academic research, curriculum, and information services. As part of its research mission, the Family Owned Business Institute (FOBI) created the Research Scholars Program. The purpose of this program is to encourage faculty to conduct new, high quality research with an emphasis on family business dimensions."
Every year four to six FOBI awards are given and the stipend is 5000 USD each. This year 4 awards were selected from 31 submitted proposals and Börje Boers accepted the award at the FERC 2011 conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. The money is for conducting research and the results have to be presented at the FERC 2012 conference in Montreal.
