In line with JIBS profile and prioritized strategic areas, CeFEO conducts family business research with a focus on entrepreneurship, renewal and ownership. Subject to final decision on funding, we are now looking for a Research Assistant who can support research in the area of entrepreneurship and family firms. Preferred start is June, 2014.

The ideal candidate is an ambitious person who sees this temporary employment (up to six months) as a way to learn more about academic research and to develop analytical skills, useful for future employments. You are a student interested in both theoretical and empirical research, and enjoy interacting with practicing business people and entrepreneurs. The research will be practice-oriented and include conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data and information from companies through survey and interviews, and completing reports.

To apply, you should be a bachelor or master student in a major JIBS discipline (e.g. business administration or economics). Being near completion or having completed your degree is a clear advantage, but not a requirement to apply. The main language of research at JIBS is English, but for the tasks in this position knowledge of Swedish is an advantage. An outgoing and international profile as well as prior professional experience is also advantageous, as is an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders in both academic and business communities.
