Under this heading, we have collected works that problematize the concept of entrepreneurship in different contexts. The first article (Ahl 2006) shows how entrepreneurship is conceptualized in research and how this results in women's entrepreneurship being seen as something subordinate to men's entrepreneurship. We have done similar studies in other contexts, such as in media of various kinds. There are also several studies where we interviewed women entrepreneurs about their practices, asking how they “do” womanhood and entrepreneurship, what circumstances influence this, and what the results are in terms of the gender order.
