AFO educates nurses for both professional and bachelor's degrees. Additionally, there are excellent opportunities for further education through specialist nursing programs, master's and magister programs, as well as commissioned education.

Basic level

You will acquire both a solid theoretical foundation and clinical experience to prepare you for your future profession.

Advanced level

Specialistsjuksköterske- programmet med inriktning mot hälso- och sjukvård för barn och ungdomar 60 hp

Do you want to support children and their families in care situations? Train to become a pediatric nurse. Study mostly online. Your work with children and young people will make a difference.

Specialistsjuksköterske- programmet med inriktning mot distriktssköterska 75 hp

Do you want to work with people of all ages and medical conditions? Advance your nursing career by training as a district nurse. The program is largely online. Learn to handle both predictable and unexpected care situations.

Specialistsjuksköterskeprogram med inriktning mot intensivvård 60 hp

Specialist nurses in intensive care care for critically ill patients both before and after surgical procedures, as well as during specialized examinations and treatments. The program is offered by Linköping University but is based in Jönköping.

Specialistsjuksköterskeprogram med inriktning mot anestesisjukvård 60 hp

During anesthesia, the patient's physical and psychological condition is affected, and natural defense mechanisms are reduced.
