Here we are aiming to support the poorest and most vulnerable members of the disabled community; individuals with simultaneous physical and mental disorders (comorbidity). Little is currently known regarding the prevalence, risk factors and consequence of comorbid disabilities in Cambodia, but data from other countries is indicating a dramatic rise in recent years.
The overarching goal of the project is to develop and implement a sustainable mental health screening and support program for individuals with physical disabilities who have comorbid mental health problems, thereby improving their health and wellbeing, increasing the opportunity for them to participate equitably within society and reducing the risk of them living in multidimensional poverty.
