Petter’s research focuses on industrial housebuilders and supplier collaboration, with particular emphasis on how logistics and purchasing can be improved within the supply chain for single-family housing. His research aims to contribute to more efficient, resource-efficient, and resilient supply chains within the construction sector. He is currently involved in the research project R3, which aims to create conditions for resource-efficient, resilient, and circular supply chains in industrial timber housing construction.
Petter has experience teaching courses in production and materials planning, industrial housebuilding, construction logistics, distribution, transportation and warehousing, as well as economics and organization in the construction sector. He currently teaches discrete-event simulation in logistics, research methodology, and materials and production planning, and supervises bachelor’s and master’s theses in logistics.
Biography
Petter is an Assistant Professor in Logistics at the School of Engineering, Jönköping University. He has been active at the university since August 2024 and has held a position as Assistant Professor since May 2025. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Construction Engineering) in 2017 from the School of Engineering, Jönköping University, and a Master’s degree in Design and Construction Project Management in 2019 from Chalmers University of Technology.
He pursued doctoral studies in construction logistics at Linköping University, where he obtained a Licentiate of Engineering degree in 2022 and a PhD degree in 2024. His doctoral thesis, “Logistics Organization Design for Building Contractors”, was defended in April 2024.
