Research

Lisa has experience of researching entrepreneurship, gender, strategy, ownership in the empirical context of family business with a qualitative approach. Her research network is mainly within entrepreneurship and family business. 

Biography

Lisa Bäckvall holds a PhD and MSc in Business Administration from Jönköping International Business School (JIBS). She has also studied at Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia and India Institute of Management Bangalore, India, during 2006. She has been a visiting PhD Candidate at ESADE Business & Law School, Barcelona (2011), and ESSEC Business School (2012), Paris, during the research education at JIBS. Lisa social origin is from Arjeplog (Lapland), and she has work experiences from Ireland, France, Austria and New Zealand.

She has experience of teaching at Jönköping University (JIBS) and University of Skövde (first-cycle (undergraduate) and second-cycle (master) courses), within entrepreneurship, corporate entrepreneurship, strategy, innovation, new venture growth, governance of organisation and retail management. 

A the School of Engineering (JU) Lisa is teaching in: Vetenskapligt arbetssätt och kommunikation (research methods), Project Management and Methods, Leadership and Project Management, and Näringslivsförlagd kurs (Industrial Placement Course in Industrial Engineering and Management).
