Ulrika Wänström Lindh is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Construction Engineering and Lighting Science at the School of Engineering at Jönköping University in Sweden. She researches and teaches about spatial experience in lighting design. Wänström Lindh’s PhD was finished 2012 at the School of Design and Crafts at the University of Gothenburg. She has a background as a professional lighting designer (PLDA) and has master degrees in both architecture and interior design (MSA/SIR). Her research focus spatial experience and distribution of light have been conducted in several spatial contexts, in interior as well as exterior spaces. The research questions have concerned perceived depth, size, shape and enclosure as well as experienced atmosphere of spaces in relation to light.
